Description
This pesto pasta tortellini recipe is quick, creamy, and full of flavor. A 15-minute one-pot meal that’s family-friendly and endlessly customizable.
Ingredients
1 (10–12 oz) package cheese tortellini
1/2 cup basil pesto
2 tbsp reserved pasta water (optional)
2 tbsp grated parmesan
Black pepper to taste
Optional: cherry tomatoes, spinach, lemon zest, pine nuts
Instructions
1. Boil tortellini according to package directions.
2. Reserve 2 tbsp pasta water and drain pasta.
3. Return pasta to warm pot and add pesto.
4. Stir well, adding pasta water if needed.
5. Top with parmesan, pepper, and any extras you like.
6. Serve warm or cold.
Notes
This recipe stores well and makes great leftovers.
Add grilled chicken or shrimp for more protein.
